Welcome to OpenCycleRoute
OpenCycleRoute is a volunteer project aimed at providing a free database of high quality, detailed cycle routes around the world for use by cyclists everywhere.
The project was started because most available cycle routes are difficult to find and scattered over multiple sources, hard to use, not easily searchable, covered by restrictive copyrights, lack elevation data (so you can't see where the uphill bits are!), or are available in a form that is difficult to use with modern tools such as GPS.
Anyone can edit this site, you just need to sign up.
To get involved, just create an account on this wiki, and dive in and start editing.

Unfortunately the CTC database is open only to CTC members and the copyright is owned by the CTC. If you are considering adding a route to the CTC site, please consider adding it here first. This way all cyclists and free maps can benefit from your efforts. It also means that anyone can enhance your route and keep it up to date. Plus, you can always add it to the CTC site as well! --Frank 18:13, 4 September 2006 (EDT) -- |
